Mentorship 101

Mentorship!..What picture comes into your mind? It is a very hot topic in the Church today, but clear teaching is lacking. In this series, you will not only find out what the role and purpose of a mentor is, but you will see the heart that is required!

For indeed mentorship is not just about imparting knowledge, but about being a vessel for the Holy Spirit. So that He can flow through you to mold and shape your disciple. Mentorship costs a price, for both the mentor and disciple, but it is what will bring fruit that truly remains.

God is raising up His Mighty Warrior, and if you want to be on the front lines of equipping God's people, this series will show you how!

Mixing Brings Confusion

You have so many "anointings" mixed up in your spirit and you still have not reached your goal. You think that taking a big chunk out of all these different teachings will speed you up.

You think that the more you take, the more you are going to be able to run. No. Actually, you are just going to be extremely weighed down. Stick to one. Pick one mentor and teacher and receive all that they have.

Mark could not follow Barnabas and Paul. He followed Paul and then he followed Barnabas and Paul said, "I will take on Silas now." Silas did not hang out with Peter and sometimes with Paul. They stuck together.

Timothy stuck with Paul. Each one had their own that they stuck with and received from. Was Paul greater than Peter? No, not at all. Was Peter greater than Paul? No, not at all.

When they decided who they were going to receive from, they stuck with that one teaching, anointing and training. As a result, they rose up very quickly. That is the exciting thing about having a mentor.

Note: Following through with one mentor ensures quick progress.

If you are prepared to pay the price and focus on that one person and receive all the teaching that they give you, know the goal ahead, submit to the training and allow them to challenge you. When you reach the goal you will both know it.
